The Ideal
Natural Contours
While in Las Vegas for the AEE, I attended a couple of Jamye Waxman’s
seminars, the first ever offered to fans, as opposed to the industry’s
conventioneers. Following her Sex Toys presentation, Jamye was handing
out the implements she’d expounded upon and I gleefully snapped up The
Ideal. This is the beefiest machine in the Natural Contours line, a
selection of vibrators created by Candida Royalle and her team of sex
toy engineers. It looked to me like it would serve two functions, as
both a sex toy and an actual massager.
I’ll make a confession: I’ve never used the Hitachi Magic Wand. I know,
sheer heresy in the sex toy reviewing field. I’ve also never used any
of the products marketed primarily for “massage.” I mean, you can use
just about anything that vibrates—from your clothes drier to your cell
phone—if you wanna get off. But my myriad opportunities to masturbate
allow me to use the items designed specifically for masturbation! So I
was excited to try out a toy that would serve both purposes.
The curved handle makes the Ideal perfect for self-massage use on your
upper back and shoulders and sets it apart from the Hitachi Magic Wand.
It has received rave reviews from people with arthritis, proving that
it is practical for use as more than just a masturbation aid. The
“head” of the Ideal rotates around or swivels (I can’t quite describe
the motion…) so that it has more flexibility. This may not be of much
use on your privates but it works miracles on your muscles.
Unfortunately it also causes a rather jarring rattle at times. But
again, that probably won’t happen when it’s pressed between your
thighs, more likely when it’s being pressed into your lower back.
My first encounter with the machine was with a partner. We started by
using it as a genuine massager, vibrating our muscles. It worked like a
charm, going straight to the core of the sore. From my shoulders to my
lower back to my hips, the device made me feel nice! I have to admit,
it came close to rattling my brain loose when he used it on my neck.
When he started using it to tease me, spreading my legs and moving the
machine closer to my clit, things started to really warm up. Initially,
he wrapped his hand around the “head” of the Ideal, which essentially
transformed his fingers into vibrators, arousing me MOST effectively. I
flipped over to provide better, um, access and after a few moments of
moving the machine around he pressed it right up against my clit. It
didn’t take long til it sent me over the edge; the gizmo is mighty
powerful. Not to be left out, my partner held the vibrator against the
back of his balls as he slid in and out of me, magically transforming
his cock into a vibrator! Whee! I’m sure if we were to make the effort,
we could perfect the timing on that little maneuver and achieve the
fabled simultaneous orgasm.
A solo date with the Ideal resulted in orgasm within minutes. In other
words, it really gets the job done. It wouldn’t be my first choice for
teasing myself over the edge; it’s just way too powerful for subtlety.
In fact I’d bet that most women will be able to get off by merely
holding the vibrator near their clit or using a few layers of padding
between themselves and the vibrator. However, the power might be
precisely its appeal. It won’t let you down.
In a second attempt with a partner, we started out the same way: using
it in a therapeutic manner. It sure does get deep into tight muscles!
But this time, instead of flipping over after being teased with the
machine, my partner pushed it beneath me and said, “Here, you position
it.” I did as suggested while he slid inside me and man, oh man, did
that do the trick! The vibration not only heightened the pleasure for
him, having it pressed against me while being taken from behind was
definitely getting the best from both ends! Heh. It was awesome! I even
enjoyed a few moments of extended personal pleasure, riding the
afterwaves for a while. Mmmm!
As for the power source of this powerhouse, the electrical cord is long
enough for comfortable use while plugged in but it can be used
cordless, as it’s rechargeable. Although it was tough to gauge exactly
how long the charge lasted while in the throes, so to speak, I found
that if I just left it on, buzzing away on its own, the charge held for
a good XX minutes. I’d assume that it wouldn’t last quite as long while
in “heavy” use.
In summation, the Ideal isn’t the most discrete of machines; it makes
so much noise I was afraid I might wake the neighbors with it. Of
course, that’s in comparison to the smaller, more compact toys I’m used
to playing with. And you won’t have much luck massaging sore muscles
with a Pocket Rocket. But be advised: the Ideal’s buzz is pretty
robust! I’m also not sure I’d advise direct-to-clit stimulation for the
faint of heart or less stout of genitalia! In other words, I wouldn’t
recommend this as a starter toy. But since it does work so well as a
massager, this is one you can leave lying around the house or, for that
matter, give as a gift to your sexless relatives. It’s a wink-wink
kinda thing. Give ’er a go!
